CALL for Poster Presentation

We invite all participants of the symposium to present posters. You are welcome to re-display posters presented at IPFC 12 in Taiwan or showcase new posters created specifically for this symposium. Topics are not limited to deep-sea fishes; we encourage submissions on a broad range of ichthyology-related subjects, including general fish research, methods, and other innovative studies. This is a great opportunity to share your work with the scientific community. To submit a poster, please select 'Available' in the registration process. We eagerly await your submissions!

Note:

Oral presentations will be given exclusively by guest speakers. We look forward to fascinating talks from leading experts in the study of deep-sea fishes inhabiting the twilight zone.

Notes For Poster Presentations:
  • All poster presenters are required to print posters in A0 size (Portrait) and bring them to the conference venue ready for display.
  • Each poster will be assigned a poster number, and the poster should be displayed at the assigned poster board accordingly.
  • If you wish to present a poster, please prepare your abstract following the guidelines below, using the same format as IPFC12 in Taiwan. If you plan to display the same poster used at IPFC12, you may submit the same abstract. Abstract Submission Guidelines for Poster Presentations
  • Please have your title in 14-point Times New Roman, bolded, and centered.
  • Please write the name(s) of author(s) in 12-point Times New Roman, bolded, and centered. The format for which would be "first name, initial, last name." Please also use superscript number to denote affiliations.
  • Affiliations should be in 10-point Times New Roman.
  • Please indicate the presenting author(s) by using a "*."
  • Please provide, and only provide the email of the presenting author.
  • The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  • Please use 12-point Times New Roman, single spacing, and justified paragraph for your abstract.
  • Your abstract should not include any graphs, tables, or images.
  • The abstract should be in A4 with 2.54 cm margins.

Banquet (June 15th):
  • After the symposium, in the evening (exact time coming soon).
  • The banquet will be held in front of the spectacular huge Kuroshio Sea Tank, a whale shark and mantas are on exhibit.

Parking Information for Attendees

If you are arriving by car, parking is available at Ocean Expo Park, home to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. During the park's opening hours, you may use any parking lot (P1–P9).

Nearest Parking Lots to the Aquarium:

  • P6 (Ground Parking)
  • P7 (Multi-Story Parking)

Important Note for Banquet Attendees:

During the banquet, the park will be closed, and only the P6 parking lot will be available for use. Please ensure your vehicle is parked in P6, as other parking lots will not be accessible during the park's closed hours.
