Social welfare and volunteering

We contribute to society through supporting and volunteering activities conducted throughout Japan.

Cooperation toward supporting those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake

As part of assistance toward those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, we supported these people by reducing or lessening the entrance fee to facilities that the Okinawa Churashima Foundation manages by presenting evacuee support card (Nirai Kanai Card) issued by the Okinawa Prefectural Government to those evacuated here.

Wish Child (helping with realizing the dreams of children with terminal conditions)

We approve the activities of “Make-a-Wish of Japan,” an international volunteering organization that works to make the dreams of children with terminal and severe medical conditions come true.
We bring in children with terminal and severe medical conditions to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and help them make their dreams come true so that they can concentrate on their treatments with a positive attitude.

KOBE: The Future and Dreams, Okinawa

As a part of raising awareness concerning biodiversity in the facilities we manage and activities to contribute to society, we participate in “KOBE The Future and Dreams, Okinawa” project sponsored by KOBE Sannomiya, Council to Develop People and Towns” and support the nurturing of children and students through in-house programs and experiential learning. We promote mutual business dealings by deepening the relationships between Okinawa Prefecture and Kobe City.
