The foundation works to promote public awareness by taking advantage of the skills and know-how of park management, which the Okinawa Churashima Foundation has been carrying out, and the achievements of the research studies and skill development on subtropical animals and plants made at the Research Institute.
In addition to environmental education for children and dissemination of knowledge regarding subtropical animals, plants, and the natural environment of Okinawa to the general public, the foundation conducts seminars and lecture classes for specialists. For community cooperation and social contribution, the foundation also carries out subsidy projects for research studies and skill development as well as the “Eco-coupon” project.
