Environmental Policy

Environmental Initiatives

To respond to social demand toward various environmental issues, Okinawa Churashima Foundation engages in environmental management through the operation and continuous improvement of an environmental management system, and contributes to the sustained development of society and the conservation of the environment as a member of society by complying with laws and regulations related to the environment and carrying out the following activities.

- Toward prevention of global warming, securing of biodiversity, and formation of a recycling society -

1. Environmental conservation: We will promote projects for maintaining a rich natural environment and diverse ecosystems. 2. Environmental education: We will promote environmental education that takes advantage of the environment of a sub-tropical region. 3. Information dissemination: We will accumulate and disseminate wide-ranging environmental information encompassing the nature, history, and culture of Okinawa. 4. Social contributions: We will promote projects that take advantage of the environment of a subtropical region by in collaboration with the local communities. 5. Reduction of environmental loads: We will engage in environmental activities that will reduce environmental loads such as energy and resource conservation, waste reduction, and prevention of pollution.
